Setting Up MONITOR
Let us create a personalized dashboard for your organization to:
Here’s how it works
You
We
You state your interest in having an institutional dashboard.
All information is exchanged under confidential agreements and we only make public what you agree on.
Additionally, you ensure your institution’s data is accurately represented and disambiguated through the OpenOrgs Service.
You may also provide a list of research results already associated with your institution to further refine the process.
Starting from the OpenAIRE Graph we check for existing data for your institution.
We establish your organisation's affiliations to research results (publications, datasets, software, and more) and deploy a dedicated Virtual Machine to host your personalized dashboard.
In parallel, we aggregate content from your repositories, OA journals, or CRIS system, ensuring compliance with the OpenAIRE Guidelines. This integration not only enhances your visibility but also positions your institution as a key contributor to the global Open Scholarly Infrastructure.
You validate and approve the results.
We present the results to you on our Beta portal.
Through 1-on-1 expert consultations you interact with us
- to understand any gaps and deviations within the dashboard
- to verify the data integrity
- to discuss the addition of any new metrics and indicators that might interest you
We produce well-documented visualisations of simple & composite indicators.
Customise your dashboard and make your own profile.
Make your own profile by selecting the metrics of interest to you and the ones you want to publish, to keep private, or to share just with colleagues.
We refine until we are happy with the results.
Select your team
We notify you about new metrics and indicators.
You will also become part of OpenAIRE’s active community, open to join in discusions surrounding new indicators and processes.
You
We
You provide information about your funded projects and join OpenAIRE.
All information is exchanged under confidential agreements and we only make public what you agree on. This can be done via either
- Direct Data Provision: Share your project metadata via spreadsheet files, APIs, or publicly accessible project databases. A formal agreement ensures data privacy and defines terms of use for data sharing and dashboard creation.
- Open Funder Registry (OFR) Integration: Learn more about the Open Funder Registry (OFR) and how it integrates with MONITOR.
We ingest your grant metadata into the OpenAIRE mining tools
We ensure your grants are accurately attributed by:
- Identifying references in Crossref.
- Leveraging metadata from OpenAIRE-compliant repositories.
- Updating and refining text-mining algorithms to analyze millions of full-text PDFs and extract acknowledgments to your grants.
Ingest all results in the OpenAIRE Graph and publish them in our pre-production environment (beta).
You validate initial results and approve for them to be shown on the Explore portal.
You review your dashboard and the displayed information to ensure it meets your expectations. If necessary, you refine your organization's name using the OpenOrgs Service or you can upload additional publications to the list.
